Purchasing a domain

If you already have a registered domain, you can skip this step and go straight to DNS setup

1. Registration at Namecheap Follow the link https://www.namecheap.com/

You need to create an account to register a domain. To do this, click the SIGN UP button.

You will be redirected to the registration form. Fill in all the fields.

And to complete the registration click the Create Account and Continue button

After successful registration you will be redirected to the main page.

In order to successfully register a domain, you need to provide your primary address. To do this go to Profile -> Personal info and click the Add button next to Primary Address

You will be redirected to a form. Fill in all required fields marked with “*”, State/Province and ZIP/Postal Code

After you enter the address, click the Save Changes button to save the address information.

1. Domain registration Click the Domains button to purchase a domain.

Enter the desired domain name and click the Search button

If the domain is taken, try other options or other extensions (for example, .net, .org, .online).

If the selected domain is available, click Add to Cart.

To continue the purchase click the Checkout button at the bottom

Make sure the correct domain is in the cart and the desired registration period is selected (usually 1 year or more). Namecheap will automatically offer the Domain Privacy service, which will be added to the cart for free. We recommend enabling this option, as it hides your contact details from public WHOIS lookup. To confirm your cart click the Confirm Order button.

To pay, fill in the payment information: credit/debit card or PayPal. After entering the payment information click Continue

You will be redirected to a page with the full information you entered: selected domain, contact details and payment details. Check that everything is correct before confirming the order. Then click the Pay Now button

After a successful purchase check the status of your domain. To do this click the Manage button to go to the domain management page

Additional steps If you see a yellow ALERT under your domain, it means you need to verify the contact email.

To do this scroll down the page and find the Verify button in the Registrant Contacts section. Click it to confirm your contact information.

After that an email from Namecheap will be sent to your email address. To confirm, simply click the Verify your contact information link in the message.

After following the Verify your contact link a window will open confirming that your domain has been successfully verified.

Note: Domain verification may take some time (within 24 - 48 hours)
